The Danbury Railway Museum is located at 120 White Street in Danbury Union Station, on the corner of White Street and Patriot Drive by the world’s tallest Uncle Sam statue.


By Train

The Museum is a short walk north from the current Danbury Metro-North Train Station, located at 1 Patriot Drive. You can see available trains on Metro-North’s Danbury Line by clicking here.

By Car

Our parking lot will accommodate visitors on most any day. However, during special events, this lot fills up quickly. Additional parking is available at the Patriot Garage, located on Patriot Drive just a short walk from the Museum. We can validate your parking slip on weekends and save you $1.00 off the all-day rate of $3.00. On Sundays only, there is free parking at the nearby Metro-North train station.

NOTE: Large motor homes may have difficulty finding parking in our lot.

FROM THE WEST:

Take I84 East to Exit 5. At the end of the ramp, keep right and continue straight to the light. Make a right on Main Street, then keep straight for three lights. Make the left turn onto White Street at the fourth light. The museum will be on your right (just look for Uncle Sam).

FROM THE EAST:

Take I84 West to Exit 6. At the end of the ramp, turn left and continue straight through two lights. Make the left turn onto Balmforth at the next light. Turn left at the second light onto White Street. The Museum is on your right (just look for Uncle Sam).

FROM SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT:

Follow Route 25 or Route 7 North (depending upon your location) to I84. From Route 25, follow "From the East" (above). From Route 7, follow "From the West".

FROM WESTCHESTER & SOUTHERN NEW YORK:

Take I684 to I84 East. Follow "From the West" (above).
